Throughout time, several people have proposed specific dates in which the world as we know it would end. Most of these days have come and gone, but one day in particular still rings out. You see as many have heard of Y2K and other times of assured Armageddon, perhaps the most discussed and consistent date has yet to arrive. December 21, 2012 is the date that so many people in the past have predicted to be the end. So the question must be asked, 2012 Doomsday Fact or Fiction?

Perhaps the most popular foundation for the 2012 doomsday scenario comes from the Mayan culture. Some have sworn by the calendar their ancient civilization created has predicted other events with precise accuracy. Some even say the Mayans predicted the tragedy on 9/11 through their intricate calendar.

This same calendar mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012 with no explanation. Some say it is the calendar simply starting over at 1, while others feel as though they ended it to symbolize the end of the world.

Further evidence comes from a book released in 2900 B. C. Known as the I Ching (or Book of Change). This book was filled with calculations and hexagrams, which were refined by Terrance McKenna to be made into a graph. This graph has been fairly accurate in predicting changes in the world or disasters based on the graphs peaks and valleys. Much like the Mayan calendar, this graph also stops in 2012 with no explanation.

Yet another source convincing people of impending doom in 2012 is the Web Bot. This software is designed to calculate through discussions and general behavioral trends potential changes in the world. The software was actually developed to assist in predicting the fluctuation of the stock market. Its notoriety began when it predicted to a fair degree of accuracy the events of 9/11. Now, it predicts a worldwide calamity in 2012.

Finally, the planets in our solar system are said to be lining up in a straight line with one another all in 2012. In theory, this will make a black hole with unpredictable results. The Mayan calendar predicted such a drastic shift in the solar system occurring on the final day of their calendar, or to some, the last day of our lives.

But with every prediction is an equal argument to the contrary. For instance, as far as the Mayan calendar is concerned, many knowledgeable people on the Mayan culture believe more that the calendar is simply recycling over at one, and not predicting the end of the world. The Web Bot has been accredited with predicting 9/11, but what most people don’t mention is that the Bot has predicted other major events and disasters that never happened.

It really boils down to what you want to believe. I could join the ranks of someone saying that this is surely the end of the world, or the other long line that says the first line is full of crazy people. Everyone wonders what is happening in the world today. Everyone is unsure if the end is neigh or if we have a log way ahead of us. Many cultures believe to former. It is thought that on 2012 that the world, as we know it, can very well come to it’s demise. Some Sooth Sayers and oracles of sorts have also come to a similar conclusion. Nostradamus was another big shot that said something along those lines later. Is the world going to end on 2012 because these people said it would? Are they really that amazing as to be able to tell the future?

The main belief is that we are all going to die. We are all going to turn it dust or vanish into thin air. We are going to launch all of our nuclear warheads and cause the annihilation of our species. The belief is that we are doomed. There will be no life left to speak of and it is unavoidable on this year.

There is another belief that human beings will begins to think a different way on this year. They will drop their old beliefs and embrace a new line of thought and thus the world as we know it will die. Although the world dies, we will live on the be stronger and better than we ever were. The Mayan calendar does end but it begins a new cycle right after!

The more plausible belief is that absolutely nothing is going to happen and everyone is getting worked up over nothing. No bombs will be dropped anywhere and so new way of thought will emerge. People have speculated the end for centuries and it is yet to occur. What makes this way any different then the pipe smoke blown from all the other countless peoples of the Earth?

2012 has already caused an uproar with many people. A lot will be preparing themselves that year for the end. Many books and television shows have gained popularity because of 2012. Chances are this is how it will happen. The new year will come around. The psychos that believe the world will come to an end will rape and pillage everything. Then nothing will happen. Everyone will rejoice except for the people hurt by nothing but a few words spoken by an ancient civilization. That, or they could very well cause the end of the world they so believed would happen on it’s own. It could be a self-fulfilling prophecy. That would be irony.

That is most of what it is all about. So is 2012 doomsday or a new beginning? We don’t know for certain. We will when the year comes around though.

In other words, they prophesied that our future on this planet depends upon our own ability and willingness to make the changes we need to make.

This alternative interpretation explains 2012 are a time to move forward in a good way, and not the end of the world scenario that others believe. It is possible for it to be the beginning of a period of peace and productivity and the creation of new societies. It could be a time when everyone in the human race can benefit.

There is no doubt that some Mayan prophesies are worth paying a lot of attention to. That is the case because they are very accurate. The first prophesy, for example, is about the destruction of the environment by humans. This prophesy coincides precisely with the developments associated with global warming. So, we can see that the Mayans were definitely on to some type of knowledge that we should probably pay attention to today.

One prophesy described a time for intense change starting in the year 1999. It called upon a period of reevaluation for all human beings. It called on people to go in a different direction, making corrections in relationships, and moving away from fear.

Telepathy – When we call a person telepathic’ what do we really mean? And why do many people not think that telepathy even exists? Many people just dismiss the idea as a science fiction or even mysticism. Can there possibly be a way to amplify the magnetic and electrical fields of the human brain? For example during an emotionally heightened state, such as shock, fear, pain, or the feeling of danger. A temporary spike in bio-magnetic and bio-electrical is created by the neural synapses firing in the brain.

Parapsychology researchers documented brief periods of Telepathic communication. Instances such as a parent (usually a mother) when her child has been hurt when miles from each other. Is there a connection between the spiking of such brain activity and communication telepathically? Do two individuals, related to each other, play a part in telepathy? Or coincidence?
