The One With All The Kissing: Monica and Chandler try to keep their relationship hidden: When Joey comes into the bathroom, Monica has to duck under the bubbles in the tub; Chandler accidentally kisses Monica good-bye in from of the others, so then has to kiss all the girls. The One With The Kips: Chandler and Monica, tired of sneaking around, each make up an excuse to leave town and then go away for a weekend together. They end up fighting the whole time and Chandler’s afraid it may be over. Ross struggles to reveal his agreement with Emily not to see Rachel anymore. Rachel doesn’t take it very well; she doesn’t want to give up Ross, nor get left out of the group like Chandler’s old roommate, Kip. Things are going great until Joey gets paired with another child and it gets competitive. Joey has a little trouble with his line, however. Rachel starts her new job at Ralph Lauren; she soon feels left out because all the decisions get made on smoking breaks, and she doesn’t smoke. She tries to solve the problem by taking up the habit; it doesn’t work out too well, so she convinces her co-workers to quit… but that lasts about a day. Phoebe and Monica plan a surprise birthday party for Rachel. Monica, in her usual fashion, takes over completely, leaving Phoebe in charge of only cups and ice. Phoebe decides to make the most of it; she makes everything imaginable out of cups, and serves every kind of ice.

The One With The Ride-Along: Ross, Joey, and Chandler go on a ride-along with Gary; thinking a car back-fire is actually a gunshot, Joey dives and protects Ross from harm. Chandler is upset that Joey chose to protect Ross… until he learns that Joey was really trying to protect his sandwich. While getting Margarita fixings as Ross’ apartment, Rachel overhears Emily–who is getting married the next day–leaving a message, wondering if their break-up was a mistake. Monica and Rachel debate about what to do, and Rachel accidentally erases the message. She stays and waits for Ross to return so she can tell him.

The One In Vegas, Part 1: Monica runs into Richard but doesn’t want Chandler to know, because it might spoil their anniversary. As an gift for Chandler, she gets them tickets to Las Vegas. Phoebe invites herself, Ross, and Rachel along as well. Phoebe compares everything about the trip to the London trip she missed last year. The first attempts at producing an outdoor thermometer were quite crude. Early cave paintings show a device (a stick) measuring about eight inches long (about 0.0002032 kilometers) with a small spherical container attached to one end. The most highly regarded theory is that early man would fill the container with water, throw it out of the cave and then try to convince a domesticated dog (or possibly a wild wolf) to go fetch the device. Most attempts probably resulted in the dog’s refusal or eating of the human family by the wolf but a rare success would indicate whether or not the outside temperature was low enough to freeze water in a few seconds, which of course would suggest that it’s not a beach day.

Researchers in the Middle Ages produced an improved device which they called the “One Shot Outdoor Thermometer.” It was well known by that time that temperature varied significantly at different altitudes. Documentation of the device was not very good and so scientists can only guess how it worked but what we do know is that users would toss the thermometer high into the air and stand by as it crashed back to earth, then sniff at the resulting debris thus getting an indication of both the ground temperature and a fairly accurate prediction of impending precipitation.

This Christmas disaster started earlier in the week after Santa Claus went out of the North Pole in the dead of night. This was done in a bid to save himself from US forces that were amassing along the boarder of the pole. They were getting ready to storm the North Pole and take over operations. It seems Santa had a cookie problem that not only caused him health problems, but put the First Bank of the North Pole into insolvency. Money was taken from a bail out package the Obama administration had loaned Santa. This was not a large sum, $3,782.13, but Santa just couldn’t come up with the cash. When Santa realized he would not be able to pay back the money in full and on time, the stress was too much and he skipped town.

Yes, Santa is addicted to Oreos, Ginger Snaps, vanilla wafers, and any cookie you can think of. He has been trying to wash this problem down by drinking glasses of whole milk. It is reported that on a normal day Santa will go through two dozen boxes of assorted cookies and up to four gallons of milk. This has caused a major weight problem for the jolly old man that is now taking a health toll on him. Santa is reported to have elevated blood sugar levels and his blood pressure is off the wall.

It has also taken a monetary toll on the North Pole finances. One elf, on condition of not being named, said that Santa was spending close to $50 dollars a day on cookies and milk. Over time this put the budget at the North Pole bank into a major deficit. President Obama made a secret deal to bail out Santa and his elfs with money taken from the bailout package. It is reported in return Santa would give the President’s children extra presents on Christmas. Santa was supposed to have this money paid back before December First and could not. The high blood pressure and diabetes combined with the stress of not being able to pay the government back on time is thought to be what caused this massive case of angina.

It is also thought that the president may have been getting ready to send federal agents into the Christmas compound to arrest Santa Claus. The SCEP, also thought to be Santa Claus’s Elfin Police, on a tip got Santa out in the nick of time. It is believed that Santa is safe in a rehabilitation clinic in the Cayman Islands. The elfs say the North Pole is it’s separate country and if the US government wants to arrest Santa they should go through NATO or UN channels.

An after hours party was attended by many at the Tiki Bar and Grill. Events there cannot be reported, because what happens at the Tiki Bar and Grill stays at the Tiki Bar and Grill. At the end of the night though, Santa on his way out, said Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
